Born and raised in the Northeast I pursued creativity and earned a degree in Fine Arts where I was drawn to painting and printmaking. During university, a professor recommended me for a very unique studio that made high end sculptures for themed hotels and restaurants like the Venetian and DisneyWorld. This work challenged me creatively and refined my problem solving skills. At this time I also discovered pottery - and fell in love. Working as a studio tech for 2 years and learning from some very creative minds, I was able to make as much pottery as I liked while firing both student work and my own, deepening my connection to the medium.
Eventually life brought me to Florida where I homeschooled my children and spent a decade teaching elementary and middle school art. Drawing from a wealth of resources and personal experience, I taught my students to embrace their own creative path and two simple rules: #1 Try again, and #2 Help clean up!
