My paintings are a celebration of color.  I love creating a sense of  wondering where the horizon sits and wether we are looking at mountains, oceans, or clouds.  It provokes conversation about perception and personal experience and, I believe, depends on how each person has encountered color in their own life.

For the Love of Color

The original of this moody and arresting acrylic on canvas is now part of a private collection in South Florida, but you can still bring its vibrant energy into your space!

Rich layered hues create a dramatic interplay of color - an abstract interpretation of a horizon, a sunset or simply the emotional depth of color itself.  The textured transitions between shades evoke movement and intensity, making this piece a striking focal point for any setting.

Gallery style canvas prints are available at the original size of 30x40, offering the same powerful impact and immersive experience as the original.  Treat yourself to a bold statement piece that celebrates color and light

Love

A dreamy blend of soft pinks, blues and golds display the tranquility of an abstract sky scape and captures the viewer, while the vertical texture adds depth and movement.  This outdoor courtyard installation at my own home is 48x60

Select features are available in Clove of Colors line of greeting cards.

Tide

Beautiful blues and golds blend in this poured painting, reminiscent of rushing beach tides.

You and Me

Born and raised in the Northeast I pursued creativity and earned a degree in Fine Arts where I was drawn to painting and printmaking.  During university, a professor recommended me for a very unique studio that made high end sculptures for themed hotels and restaurants like the Venetian and DisneyWorld.  This work challenged me creatively and refined my problem solving skills.  At this time I also discovered pottery - and fell in love.  Working as a studio tech for 2 years and learning from some very creative minds, I was able to make as much pottery as I liked while firing both student work and my own, deepening my connection to the medium.

Eventually life brought me to Florida where I homeschooled my children and spent a decade teaching elementary and middle school art Drawing from a wealth of resources and personal experience, I taught my students to embrace two simple rules:  #1 Try again, and #2 Help clean up!

Painting remains a core part of my artistic journey, and as I continue creating, I'll be bringing pottery back into the mix.  Stay tuned - there's more to come!
